We feel it rings true today.
Since being composed in 1908, there has hardly passed a year without bushfires [biggest coming to mind being in 1939, 1967, 1983, 1994 and 2009].
We at Rise up Australia Party also feel and grieve for the suffering of the people of Sydney and Coastal New South Wales, north and south. We earnestly hope and pray that there be no more than the one sad fatality.Daniel Nalliah stated this morning, as he watched the news, “I was deeply saddened to see so many homes burnt to the ground and just cannot imagine what our fellow Aussies are going through right now. I pray and hope that through this time of crisis, we as Aussies will once again rise up with the Aussie spirit to help each other as much as we can with a heart of compassion and love. As president of Rise up Australia Party, I hereby state that we stand ready to help wherever we can, including practical ways. If you personally know of anyone who has been affected through these bushfires, please contact us and we’ll do our best to help them.

My Husband and I were watching the news regarding the bush fires,and as I watched my heart was crying out for mercy and for help,and even intervention, but as we talked later my husband brought to my attention that probably without exception people were saying they would build again,and we heard the words in our spirit “the bricks are fallen, but we will build again with hewn stone. Father
would you give them the grace to call to you who hears us when we call.
