GENDER ISSUES ARE STILL VERY MUCH IN THE NEWS.

In America, there seem to be some victories for counselors and their clients that are wanting help and have doubts about their decision to change gender. Will this have an influence on Australian decisions on this ‘very hot potato’ issue.

Well, there are some brave schools, individuals, and parents in Australia taking a stand for what they believe is right for them and their school.

Parental rights to educate their kids in accordance with their religion is a human right protected under Art 18(4) ICCPR. This does not mean to have this view is to treat someone as a second-class citizen. It just means that they do not wish to have views that are not their own forced upon them and even made unlawful to have that view. Surely we can be adult enough to live together in one state or country and share different ideals.
